Wesley Shah (President)
Wes is President of Oasis Charitable Trust. He was born in Tanzania moving to England in his teens. His father was a minister in a church in Dar Es Salaam which Wes continues to this day to support. Wes has a passion for charity work and helping people. Since 1996 he has developed 42 orphanages in Eastern Europe and 2 more in southern India.
Wes comes predominantly from an Engineering and Aviation background with a career spanning over 30 years. He is a qualified airline Captain and Air Traffic Controller as well as being a successful businessman. He is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of an aviation company trading internationally who specialise in airline acquisition and turnaround.
His persuasive and charismatic communication skills, coupled with a passion for people, have enabled him to influence key decision makers at the highest corporate level. He is driven by challenges and is a leader with integrity and the highest ethical standards. His track record speaks for itself. He is entrepreneurial, has excellent strategic vision and sound business skills, all of which he brings to his role in Oasis.
