Inclusion is at the very heart of Oasis.
Here at Oasis, we don’t ask people to behave a certain way or believe certain things before we work with them. Instead we recognise that many people just need a place to belong. Out of a sense of belonging we all grow and we change. Then in turn, our communities are transformed too!
Oasis is rooted in, and motivated by, a Christian ethos. As such, we believe that the funny bunch that is the human race is more than just another species on this planet. We believe that every human being – regardless of age, sexuality, nationality or creed - is a unique being, created by a God who loves them unconditionally.
The Circle of Inclusion
Our motif, which we have called our ‘Circle of Inclusion’, reminds us that everyone is included when it comes to God’s love - it's a visual reminder that Oasis is all about inclusion. Whatsmore, it reminds us that when everyone, whatever their situation, their problems, beliefs, hopes and fears is included, life becomes a little bit messy (just like our circle); but it also becomes a rich and fulfilling experience – it becomes life in all its fullness – and that’s what Oasis is about!
