In it For the Long Run

James and LeeRobert and JonnyOasis' 2010 London Marathon team

On Sunday 25th April 2010, 15 amazing people ran the London Marathon to raise money to help some of the UK’s most marginalised communities.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Kieran O’Phelan, John Murphy, Johnny Carrington, Will Whiter, Ed Cox, Dan Chalke, Colin Streets, Paddy Cassidy, Andy Morgan, James Stapleton, Lee Stapleton, Alex Corcoran, Robb Cayford, John Walton and Bob Lund.

They all completed the 26.2 mile course and together have raised over £25,000 for the work of Oasis. Brothers, Lee and James, crossed the finish line together.

“20 weeks ago I was unable to run for more than 10 minutes without stopping. On Sunday 25th April I ran for 4 hours 52 minutes and only stopped to walk for 2 minutes!! The London Marathon is an experience I will never forget and already I want to do another one!!” Lee Stapleton

“It was an amazing day. It was emotional, inspirational and a great experience, something I will never forget!” James Stapleton

A big thank you also to Robert and Jonny who recently completed a skydive for Oasis!
