What is Payroll Giving?
Payroll giving is the means of donating money to charity, before tax, through your employer. Because of this your donation goes to your charity with the tax you would have paid on it.
So if you donate £5 to charity only £3.91 is deducted from your salary (if you are a standard UK tax payer) and the remaining £1.09 is made up in tax from the government.
