Zimbabwe appeal update

Steet children in ZimbabweA massive thank you to those of you who gave to our emergency Zimbabwe appeal in the last edition of Newsround; which so far has raised over £2,000.

The cholera epidemic continues to kill around 20 people a day, and to make matters worse, the water supply in Harare was turned off for a time in February, driving people to drink water from polluted wells, increasing the chances of spreading the disease.

Sadly, one girl at the Tanaka project in Kambuzuma has recently died, leaving her little two-year child. You can still give to the appeal by clicking on the donate button below, and selecting 'Oasis Zimbabwe'.

Please pray for:

  • Kumbukani Phiri, who has taken on the position as Country Director of Oasis Zimbabwe
  • Three new girls at the Tanaka project
  • The orphans left in our care following the cholera epidemic

Please contribute to our Zimbabwe appeal today. Thank you for your support.
