Oasis Youth Theatre Stops Traffic
People trafficking is the fastest growing means by which people are enslaved. It is the fastest growing international crime. And it is one of the largest sources of income for organised crime (1). In the UK alone, people trafficking is worth an estimated £275 million per year (2).
One Million to - STOP THE TRAFFIK has been produced by Oasis Youth Theatre, part of Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill, to tell the true stories of trafficked people across the world and to mobilise communities to fight human trafficking.
Written and directed by renowned GCSE playwright, Mark Wheeller. One Million to – STOP THE TRAFFIK debuted in Southampton in March to critical acclaim.
On Monday 21st June 2010 the London debut of the play takes place at the Oasis Centre, Waterloo.
