The 2010 teams will become part of the Lifespring community, joining in with its activities in the following ways:

- helping in the orphans' school

- taking part in outreach and home visits in the local community

- helping with home-based care for those affected by HIV/AIDS

- helping with feeding programmes

- working with widows and vulnerable families

The teams will also take part in Bible studies on-site at Lifespring and be involved in local churches.

Both teams are also likely to be involved practically, such as assisting with simple roofing and building work.

*The team will stay in purpose-built accommodation for volunteers on-site at Lifespring Farm, which includes all meals. The accommodation is of a high standard and provides the Team with a lot of pastoral support, but as there are no other accommodation options, this Team is more expensive than our other placements.

Don't let this put you off though, we are very excited to be offering this Team in partnership with Lifespring! One of the Summer 09 team members describes her time in Zambia:

"Lifespring Farm is an incredible placement. I would thoroughly recommend it. When going to Lifespring you become a member of the farm community too - you learn about the complexities of (the work), you learn about their lives from a Western perspective...Whilst it was hard work, I also came back feeling refreshed!"
