The Successful Candidate Will:

     Provide Oversight of Administration and Finance

  • Planning, organising, providing leadership to central team staff
  • Manage office environment
  • Develop and implement clear and cohesive administrative procedures
  • Manage and control central team expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Ensure IT equipment ismaintained
  • Oversee finance manager and finance department, ensuring timely reports are produced and accounts are kept up to date
  • Oversee HR manager and development of HR department ensuring staff are cared for, developed, appraised and disciplined as appropriate

 In addition, working with Oasis Mozambique requires in general:

  •  A commitment to teamwork and to those with whom you work in Oasis Mozambique.
  • Attendance and participation in regular Oasis Mozambique meetings, and other Oasis activities as requested.
  • Being an advocate for Oasis Mozambique, the wider work of Oasis globally, marginalised children and young people in Mozambique.
  • Participation in an annual appraisal and review of personal and professional development
  • The maintenance and continual development of a spiritual lifestyle and a growing relationship with God.
  • Personal involvement with a local Church.

Personal Specification:

  • Management Experience
  • Professional background in finance or accounting preferred

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Oversee and review current infrustructure, policies, and proceedures for Oasis Mozambique, to improve good practices in the areas of Child Development, Community Development, the Able to Decide Programme, Mobilization, and the Just Education Programme.
  • Work to promote good practices in the above mentioned areas in line with Oasis ethos and Gobal policy
  • Work with the Oasis Mozambique Country Director to ensure implementation, monitoring and development of Oasis Mozambique delivery capability including management of all project managers

Personal Specification:

  • Experince in project management
  • Experience in managing human resources
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to take own initiative, and inspire others
  • Experience in a developing country a plus
  • It is a genuine vocational need for this post to be filled by a Christian

The Successful Applicant Will:

  • Assist the Country Director in all aspects of fundraising and communications for Oasis Mozambique
  • Take responsibility for submitting good quality funding applications and proposals
  • Train staff internally and facilitate others to use fundraising skills needed to continue the organization's work
  • Conduct ongoing research into local and international donors including various types of grants and funds that Oasis Mozambique could apply for in order to establish a solid network of funding sources
  • Communicate with existing donors on a regular basis on behalf of Oasis Mozambique

Personal Specification:

  • Excellent researching, writing skills
  • Good presenting and networking skills
  • Previous experience in fundraising
  • Good IT skills

The successful applicant will:

  • Work with the Church Mobilization team to choose and prepare church placements for GAT
  • Coordinate Practical arrangements for GAT and PP (e.g. Accommodation, transport within Beira)
  • Arrange Orientation for GAT and PP
  • Arrange Retreat and Debrief for GAT
  • Co-ordinate ongoing training for GAT
  • Provide support and pastoral oversight for GAT
  • Oversee administration of GAT and PP including preparation of budgets, administration of funds
  • Liaise with sending country bases.

Personal Specifications:

  • Speak some Portuguese or be able to learn Portuguese
  • Have at least 6 months cross-cultural experience, preferably in Mozambique
  • Have experience of working with young people
