The successful applicant will:

  • Assist the Fundraising Director in all aspects of fundraising for Oasis Zimbabwe.
  • Take responsibility for submitting good quality funding applications and grant proposals.
  • Train staff internally and facilitate others to use fundraising skills needed to continue the organisation's work.
  • Conduct ongoing research into local and international donors including various types of grants and funds that Oasis Zimbabwe could apply for in order to establish a solid network of funding sources for Oasis Zimbabwe.

Personal Specifications:

  • Excellent researching, writing skills
  • Good presenting and networking skills
  • Previous experience in fundraising
  • Good IT skills

This is an exciting new opportunity to help develop and improve Oasis Zimbabwe's youth work.

The successful applicant will:

  • Help establish Oasis Zimbabwe's youth work, working with churches in Harare and other urban areas;
  • Provide training for church youth workers;
  • Run youth events and develop materials;
  • Mentor a youth worker already working with Oasis Zimbabwe.

Personal specification: 

  • Youth worker qualification/experience working as a Youth Worker in the UK (desirable); 
  • Experience working with children (essential);
  • A patient and enthusiastic team-player;
  • Creative and independent with an ability to lead;
  • A heart for mission and children.

In this important role, the successful applicant will:

  • Coordinate, oversee, and manage volunteers and visitors joining in the work of Oasis Zimbabwe
  • Network with local NGOs and churches to find placements and projects for vistors and volunteers
  • Prepare and oversee budgets for visitors and volunteers
  • Organise orientation programmes, training sessions and retreats for vistors and volunteers
  • Provide for pastoral oversight of and ongoing communication for visitors and volunteers
  • Build good relationships and ongoing communication with local overseers of volunteers
  • Run training and discipleship course for volunteers
  • Provide a good level of ongoing communication with Oasis UK regarding visitors and volunteers

Personal Specifications:

  • Experience in management, pastoral care, couselling, teaching, or youth work preferred
  • Preferred: at least 6-months cross-cultural experience, preferably in Zimbabwe
  • Have experience of working with young people
