There are strong partnerships between other schools and youth workers in the area and you'll get stuck into a church that is determined, bold and challenging. You'll be an essential part of the team and we look forward to hearing your ideas, seeing you use your skills and learning all sorts of new things as part of the developing work here! There's plenty of variety in the Oasis Croydon hub!

The Oasis Croydon hub is one of the largest in the country consisting of the Foyer (a homeless hostel for young people aged 18-25), Oasis Academy Coulsdon and Oasis Academy Shirley Park (which encompasses a children's centre, a primary phase and a secondary phase.
As a threesixty in Croydon, you could be involved in anything from running sports clubs with young people, helping to run a 'stay and play' group for parents and toddlers, mentoring excluded young people, reading with young people who don't have English as a first language to working with homeless young people.

Croydon is an ideal place to taste different experiences and find out where your passions lie....

Enfield

When working in Enfield you'll experience a wide range of activities. Our vision for Oasis Enfield is to see a transformed community. We have a church which continues to contribute positive things into the community, such as family events, kids clubs, youth groups, environmental projects, chaplaincy services etc. The Youth & Community team is well established and successfully run a number of mid-week youth clubs, offer accreditations, residentials etc. Out Children's Centre relates to over 700 families and you'd be supporting some of them through different sessions. In addition to this we have an Academy, a secondary school catering for almost 1000 students aged 11-16. Various clubs, trips and activities are all on the agenda for you as part of the gap year.

The two Grimsby academies (Immingham and Wintringham) have been open since 2009, they cater for those in secondary education but there is also opportunity to get involved with local primary schools, so be prepared to work with any age! The youth and community team is well established in the academy and you’ll be joining in with everything it has to offer including: lunchtime clubs, a Fairtrade cafe, mentoring young people and youth crime prevention projects. The hub works alongside many other organisations so you’ll be getting involved with the youth service, churches and youth groups in the area and the local police team. You will encounter a wide range of personalities and needs, so be prepared for a challenging year but alongside all of that be ready to develop good relationships and friendships which you will never forget!

The Salford hub is at the heart of the up and coming MediaCity: UK, one of only a few in the world.  Here the area is being transformed into a world-class centre for media, broadcasting, production studios, and the arts.  Oasis is building new Academy and church and community buildings right on the edge of MediaCity and the site is also bordered by a local council estate, Ordsall, where Oasis works.

Oasis in Salford is committed to seeing these two diverse communities coming together as one, living out an exciting, interdependent existence.  The work in Salford is pioneering and challenging, working with the Academy, church, local primary schools, and community youth organisations.  Our threesixties find themselves at the core of it mucking in with students at the Academy, reading with kids on the Ordsall estate, boxing at the famous Salford Lad’s Club on the original Coronation Street and serving up a good brew at Ordsall’s Community Café.

You will play an invaluable role in shaping and impacting local kids and teens’ lives as they discover their value and hope for a future.  The Salford team and Oasis are committed to offering you support, care, and guidance as you take on this adventure."

The Hub at Southampton is extremely vibrant and diverse centred around two Academies, Oasis Academy Lords Hill, which caters for around 900 students and specialises in the Arts and Business Management and Oasis Academy Mayfield to the West of the City which specialises in Global Communications.

Oasis Church Southampton was formed after these two Academies were opened and is a combination of two churches in the area, that regularly meet to share meals together, visit the schools and pray.

Threesixtys will be a part of this church and get involved in a many number of activities whilst based in Southampton. As work is more often than not based around the Academies, there is great opportunity to work with and get to know the youth in the area. There are drop-in youth cafes and clubs, mentoring sessions, esteem and sex and relationship classes. Detached youth work around the area, prayer walking, alpha groups and music lessons! There is of course a mass of other opportunities where you can get involved with something you're passionate about in the local community. The World is your oyster!

At the heart of our work here lies Church.co.uk Waterloo, a thriving community hub in the heart of London.
