Zimbabwe is a nation where poverty and unemployment are endemic and political unrest is commonplace. Yet it is far from being a nation without hope!

Oasis has been working in Zimbabwe since 1998 establishing a number of programmes to transform individual lives and restore hope across communities, as Andile's story below shows.

Andile's Story

Andile came to the Oasis Skills Training Academy (OSTA) for help. He enrolled on the security guard course and shortly after came top of his class. He is now employed by Oasis as a trainer on the course.

Andile was keen to expand his skills further and volunteered to help with the small-scale agriculture training. He is now growing and selling his own crops and is also working with another NGO traveling around the country giving consultative advice on agricultural methods and techniques.
