From helping people trapped in debt in South London to helping to tackle sexual violence in Zimbabwe, the life changing work of Oasis around the world is only possible thanks to the support of countless volunteers and donors.

Recently, two high profile figures lent their support to Oasis by hitting the phones at the GFI Charity Day.

GFI provides competitive wholesale market brokerage services and is a wholly owned subsidiary of BGC Partners, Inc.  BGC Partners’ annual Charity Day commemorates the 658 staff lost on 9/11 by donating global revenues on the day to dozens of charities worldwide, helping to turn this tragic day into one that is positive and uplifting.

During the day Oasis were supported by Olympic swimmer and TV commentator Mark Foster and former ‘Saturdays’ singer Vanessa White.  Both were an instant hit with traders and made a number of sales during their time on the trading floor.

This is the third year that Oasis has participated in the BGC Partners charity day and has put the money raised toward life changing work in communities.

Dave Parr, CEO of Oasis Charitable Trust says, “We’re really grateful that Mark and Vanessa gave up their valuable time to raise crucial support for Oasis and to GFI for selecting us as one of their partner charities for the day.  The life changing work delivered by our Community Hubs is dependent on donations from supporters and partners and every penny we receive helps take our vision of building flourishing communities a step closer to reality.”

Oasis Charitable Trust is a Company Limited by Guarantee (no. 2818823) and a Registered Charity (no. 1026487) Registered Office: 1 Kennington Road, London SE1 7QP
