Housing Management Worker
Location: London Borough of Southwark (Peckham), with some travel to Croydon (Thornton Heath) as needed
Salary Grade A: £22,500 per annum (Inclusive of £4000 London weighting).
Hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to meet the requirements of the post
Oasis Community Housing is a growing charity, with its Central Office in Gateshead and projects in London. This post provides housing management functions to OCH supported housing projects in the London Boroughs of Croydon and Southwark in the delivery of housing management to a portfolio of supported accommodation which consist of both shared and single person accommodation. Working with colleagues in the Housing Management Team, you will ensure health and safety obligations are met, the properties are suitably decorated and furnished, repairs and maintenance is scheduled as required, rents and service charges accounts are monitored and managed effectively, and voids are filled in accordance with the organisational policies and procedures and undertake other housing related tasks as required.
The existing property portfolio consists of 9 owned and managed properties of shared and single person accommodation. The properties are located in the Borough of Southwark and Croydon and have a variety of purposes, and residents.
You will be qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent in a relevant subject and have experience as a supported housing worker and/or housing worker to including experience of health and safety, arrears management, working as part of a team, and safeguarding. An understanding of the benefits system is also required. Prior experience and oversight of a portfolio of properties and housing management responsibilities are essential for this role.
