We are looking for someone to join our team at Oasis Foundry and Boulton to coordinate our Food Pantry Project, coordinating the smooth running of the pantry, the volunteer team and looking to develop the project.

The Food Pantry currently functions twice a week, on Tuesdays at the Oasis Academy Foundry, and on Wednesdays at the Oasis Academy Boulton, in the Winson Green area of Birmingham.

 Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Coordinating the weekly planning, preparation and opening of the pantry.
  2. Coordinating and supporting the team of volunteers.
  3. Overseeing registration, financial and monitoring and evaluation processes according to hub policies and procedures.
  4. Supporting the development of enterprise projects within Oasis Community Hub
  5. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of volunteers and pantry members.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Food hygiene qualification level 2 or immediate possibility of achieving this qualification.
  • Experience working with vulnerable families in difficult circumstances.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, food hygiene and health and safety practices.
  • Experience of working with and supporting volunteers.
  • Ability to function in diverse settings and with a wide range of partners including academy and hub staff.
