At Oasis we do not believe in doing things to people or for people – we are motivated to do things with people. This means that all projects and activities in any given locality must be fully owned by the local community, even if professional support and infrastructure from outside is also required.
This sense of ownership is often delivered through our local governance models, such as the Academy Councils that work with our primary and secondary Academies. However, at the heart of our localism is the community churches that we have pioneered in our hubs which own our vision as well as providing funds and a volunteer base.
Community transformation is only possibly by building strong character in individuals and this is at the heart of our model.
