Oasis Community Housing (OCH) has opened its first same-day emergency accommodation for people sleeping rough in Gateshead.

The 58:7 Project is a six-bed property with round the-clock support from staff. It is designed as a psychologically informed environment aimed
particularly at those who have experienced
complex trauma.

“Each resident will have a robust support plan with support services coordinated around them,’ says  Alex Laing of Oasis Community Housing .

“For some people we may be the most secure relationship they have.”
