HelpOUT Fund Application
Please fill out this form honestly and as detailed as you can and/or are comfortable with. If you would prefer to make your application over the phone, please phone 020 7921 4294. The HelpOUT fund was established to assist those who would like to attend IN THE NAME OF LOVE: The Bible, Gender Identity, and Same Sex Relationships. This is a one-day event, led by Steve Chalke and The Open Church Network, touring to Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester (Salford), Sheffield and Southampton. As this fund is dependent on the generosity of other attendees and supporters of Oasis, please be advised that in the event the fund is empty your application may be denied or put on hold until the fund is replenished. If you are under 30 years of age your entry is already discounted to £15 and can be booked directly on openchurch.network/events or eventbrite. You will need to bring photograph ID with your birthdate on it with you to the event. Any further questions can be directed to the Open Church Network team at OCN@oasisuk.org.
Please evaluate your circumstances honestly. As we hope to offer assistance to as many people who need it, if you can attend on partial coverage we would appreciate your transparency.
We realise this question may be more personal than you're comfortable with. If you choose not to fill it out, it will not prejudice your application. Additionally, if nothing of the below describes your situation that will not prejudice your application.

Friday saw tens of thousands of young people come together across the UK in remembrance events to remember those who lost their lives in conflict and to call for peace

In addition to Steve's sessions, we will also have the opportunity to take a ‘deeper dive’ into some specific issues that people often tell us they struggle with.  It would be great if you could indicate a preference (1 being the highest and 3 being the lowest) as to which you would like to attend.  We are relatively confident about being able to give everyone their first preference but it would be good to get your runner up option just in case.

Why does a God of love seem to turn into a lover of violence and war in parts of the Bible?
Why does Paul – and other writers of the Bible – seem to have such a problem with women and what should we do with it?
How best should we understand the parts scripture that seem to prohibit same-sex relationships?
