Oasis Hub Hobmoor set up a food pantry with South Yardley Methodist Church last year – now they’ve added a popular cafe for shoppers. Hub Leader Andy Brown explains why it’s been so successful

Oasis ‘Hub Hobmoor has been working for over four years in partnership with the charity FareShare providing emergency food in the Covid crisis and food for children in the school holidays.

When Jo Dolby, took over leadership of Oasis Church Bath, she spent several months researching the community’s needs and found kinship carers had hardly any support at all.

Oasis Community Hub Hobmoor and South Yardley Methodist Church got together and set up a social supermarket within weeks.  Can any church do the same?
