Oasis Hub Waterloo, is seeking a skilled, adaptable, committed and passionate youth worker who will co-deliver high impact support for local young people (aged 11 - 24) who attend St Thomas’s Hospital A&E Department due to violence or aggression.
The Oasis Hub Waterloo is offering a full time 6—12 month maternity cover contract.
You will provide valuable and high quality one to one personalised support for young people; and be part of a successful and highly efficient Oasis Youth Support team. You will also be involved in the development and delivery of other health initiatives such as our innovative Diabetes and Healthspace services.
We are looking for an inspirational, charismatic, professional and productive person who has the following qualities:
· proven experience working with inner city young people especially in one-to-one settings
· knowledge of the issues facing young people involved in violence and criminality in inner-city London
· a team player, with excellent and adaptable relational, organisation and admin skills
· able to be self-motivated and work independently

Oasis Hub Waterloo is a ground breaking charity providing a broad and inclusive range of community development services for vulnerable and isolated people. Our services incorporate two Academy schools (one primary and one secondary), a children's centre, a city farm, sports programmes, targeted youth programmes, a foodbank, debt advice centre, a library, a café, a community centre, adult learning programmes and a great deal more. We deliver these services over a range of locations in Southwark and Lambeth reaching more than 1,200 beneficiaries every week.
Maternity Cover 6-12 months
Full time 40 hours per week
Salary £23,597 per annum
