The Commission on Young Lives launched in September and is a major new initiative for Oasis and a key aspect of its new youth, health and wellbeing work.

It is chaired by former Children’s Commissioner, Anne Longfield CBE, and will gather evidence to design a new national system to prevent crisis in vulnerable young people and support them to succeed in life.

It will bring together experts and other leaders to identify solutions which can change the future of the most marginalised teenagers at risk of violence, harm, criminalisation, and diminished opportunities.

The Commission sits alongside our plans to deliver the new Oasis Restore secure school and improve and extend the work we do support vulnerable young people, especially those who are leaving custody.

We will publish our final recommendations in October 2022.
